Live 9 Events is a limited company based in the East Midlands. Owned by Colin and Molly, the company began in 2011 delivering sound systems and technical support to bands and orchestras and has since grown into nothing shy of an events entertainment empire.
Despite our growth, we have stayed true to our roots of delivering a personal, friendly service to accommodate events great and small. Ultimately, our goal is to create fantastic events that will be enjoyed and fondly remembered by everyone involved.

Colin started the company in 2011 as a one-man band when he was touring around the UK with multiple different bands and orchestras, delivering sound systems and technical support. Colin also offered support at local festivals such as Detonate, Splendour, Waterfront, East Leake Carnival and many others, thus further developing his knowledge and events expertise.
In 2015 Molly joined Colin on the tours, offering photography to the bands and orchestra. That same year, the couple purchased a huge piece of sound kit for the Didcot Festival in Oxford, which was to be a major step for the company to grow. It was at that same festival, when mixing sound and taking photographs, that the couple noticed a bouncy castle on site. This gave them an idea.
A few weeks later they purchased a bouncy castle of their own, and during the last few months of that summer they hired out their bouncy castle to a number of parties. The potential of inflatables was plain to see, and so after doing some research into the inflatable hire business, Colin and Molly decided to upgrade to a newer, bigger and better bouncy castle.
By the beginning of 2016, they owned 2 new bouncy castles, and over the next few months, they added an inflatable slide, soft play and ball pool to their inflatable roster. In 2017 they purchased an additional 24 inflatables, including slides, fun runs, assault courses, and of course, more bouncy castles.
During this time, Colin and Molly continued their sound and visual work at festivals – but there was no stopping the growth of the inflatables! In 2018 they expanded the business further, offering lighting and stage hire and updating their original sound mixing stock. It was around this time they rebranded to officially become Live 9 Events, a Corporate Entertainment Service that would specialise in quality event equipment available for hire throughout the East Midlands.
Since then, we’ve supplied all kinds of equipment and entertainment for the likes of Capital One, Specsavers, The Jockey Club, Speedo, The University of Derby, and many more. We can only wait to see what the next few years will bring, and we hope you’ll join us on this exciting journey of unforgettable events!
